What to Expect from Behavior Services

During her presentation, Sarah provided a clear and concise overview of what the behavior services process typically includes:

Services begin with an intake and initial meeting, followed by observations and interviews to better understand the individual’s strengths, needs, and environment. A Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) is conducted to identify patterns and contributing factors. From there, a Positive Behavioral Support Plan (PBSP) is developed outlining proactive strategies, functional alternatives, and clear guidance for support teams. Training and ongoing follow-up help ensure supports are effective, practical, and person-centered.
